Julie Grim currently works for Amgen, Inc., a biotechnology company based out of Thousand Oaks, California. Julie is a Key Account Manager of Large Oncology Hospitals covering 7 states in the Southwest Region. She has fifteen years of experience in sales and marketing.
Julie became involved with Pro Players Foundation when her son Garrett founded Play it Forward USA in 2009. Garrett suffered a severe back injury and wanted to give back to his community, and so he began collecting used sporting equipment and giving it to kids in need. From there, he recruited 4 other Keller High School partners (Jack Barton, Matt Custred, Austen Dinger, and Hayden Hammonds), and Play it Forward USA was formed. Pro Players Foundation adopted Play it Forward USA into their organization to focus on the youth character camp aspect as well as foster a volunteer base. Garrett is a sophomore at TCU, and there are 7 currently chapters of Play it Forward USA.
Julie also has a pet portrait oil painting business that keeps her very busy. She completes an average of 20 commissioned portraits a year focused mainly on dogs, but occasional cattle and race horses as well. Her work can be seen at www.juliegrim.com.
Julie graduated from the University of Oklahoma, and studied Zoology. She is also on the advisory board for TCU’s scholarship committee of Kappa Alpha Theta, and serves as Landscape Chair for her HOA.
