Sean Leonard

As a first generation American, Sean was born in Okinawa Japan to an Irish father and Scottish mother and has since lived around the world. Upon his father’s retirement in Germany, the family moved to Texas and has called it home ever since Sean attended the University of Texas in Arlington, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and eventually a Master of Science in Social Work with a secondary concentration in Public Administration.

In 1996, Sean was hired by the City of Southlake, where he currently serves as the Compliance & Reporting Manager overseeing the Finance Department’s Strategic and Performance Management Program as well as administering the monitoring and evaluation of the legislative and contract compliance of the City’s finances. He also provides administrative oversight of the City’s Red Light Camera Program, Municipal Court Security Fund, Court Technology Fund and the City’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Fund as well as researches and coordinates special projects, surveys and specialized data collection & analysis studies in order to develop and present recommendations for the City Manager, City Council and other department/division Directors.

Sean first joined PPF in 2010 and was nominated to the Board in 2012. He has been involved in developing a volunteer database, assisted with several fundraising events including the annual golf tournament and will be conducting extensive research on grants and other charitable funding opportunities that should assist the foundation in enhancing its primary goal of “Enriching the Lives of Disadvantaged Children Across North Texas Through Sports Based Programs”.

Sean currently resides in North Richland Hills with his lovely wife Shannon and together they have six beautiful daughters and one handsome son.
